Ralph Emerson Twitchell Award - 3/26/13

Our Curator of 20th Century Art, Joseph Traugott, has won the Ralph Emerson Twitchell Award given by the Historical Society of New Mexico for his book, New Mexico Art Through Time: Prehistory to the Present. This prestigious award is given for an outstanding publication or significant contribution by individuals or organizations to the creative arts, as related to New Mexico history. This is the second time Joseph Traugott has won this award for his insightful and well-researched writing. He received the 2008 Ralph Emerson Twitchell award for his book, The Art of New Mexico: How the West is One. Joseph Traugott will be honored at the awards banquet held at the annual meeting of the Historical Society of New Mexico in Las Cruces.
