Each year the State of New Mexico honors some of its most illustrious and enduring artists, art organizations, patrons and others in celebration of excellence and achievement.
This year's recipients are: artist Tony Abeyta (Santa Fe); artist Michael Berman (San Lorenzo); musician Lonnie Klein (Las Cruces); artist Ed Sandoval (Taos); patron Thomas B. Catron III (Santa Fe); the J. F Maddox Foundation (Hobbs) and patron Catherine Oppenheimer (Santa Fe).
