Chief Registrar Michelle Roberts will describe her research about two paintings by Peter Hurd titled "Portrait of Gerald Marr." One was painted in 1952 and the other in 1953. This is a rare opportunity to see both paintings side by side. Which is the original and which is the second? Why would he paint two? How did one wind up at the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe and another at the Colorado Springs Art Center? Who is Gerald Marr?
