Slow Art Day

1:00 pm

The average museum visitor spends just 15 to 30 seconds in front of a work of art, according to museum researchers. One day each year – April 14 in 2018 – people all over the world visit local museums and galleries to take more time to look. Slow Art Day participants look slowly at five pre-selected works of art for ten minutes each and then come together for a conversation about their experiences.
