Blindfall | First Strike is a cinematic mapping projection in which Po’pay and his time-traveling warriors — Blind Archers, Recon Watchmen, and Sentinels — move through storm and darkness from the Pueblo Revolt of 1680 into a future 2180, protecting and carrying forward Pueblo sovereignty. The work presents the Revolt not as a historical endpoint but as a living continuum — resistance carried forward, hand to hand, across five centuries.

He sees the silence before the battle; his horse shifts beneath him, sensing it. The uprising breaks across the horizon — swift, coordinated, irreversible. Arrows cut the air. The first strike meets a force already in motion. What once held dissolves — authority, direction, certainty — absorbed by ash, chaos, and a land that no longer waits to be taken.

Rooted in the memory of trees as witness, archive, and force, Eternal Resonance holds time within its form. Its surface bends as if pressed by unseen currents, yielding without breaking. Much like the Pueblo people who rose to reclaim their land, language, and spirit, it speaks to persistence: the quiet strength that builds until it can no longer be held still.

They were called the Dogs of War — not because they were beasts, but because they moved as beasts do when commanded: fast, silent, relentless. Trained to hunt and kill, they advanced with Castilian forces, their presence a weapon in itself. Their shadows stretched deep into the pueblos along the Rio Grande — an imprint of force, terror, and dominion.

Sacred companions of the Sirens, the Sika are fiercely loyal guardians — half-simian, half-canine tetrapods bred for survival, protection, and unwavering devotion. Soft-furred and gentle in repose, they turn lethal at the scent of fear. Thunderheads boil overhead and lightning forks the sky; the pack erupts from the shadows, gale at their backs, to overrun the invaders. Their chilling cry freezes prey mid-step. Protectors of children. Defenders of hope. Guardians of the future.

The Recon Watchmen charge across a rain-blinded battlefield as lightning splits the sky. Time-traveling warriors gifted with extrasensory perception, they seal off pathways and tear open portals to storm Castilian settlements. Stargate-crested helmets gleaming, ha’pons (war shields) raised against the deluge, they sweep the wounded to Survivorships waiting across time. The enemy is besieged and driven out — hope carried back to ancestors, clay, culture, and language safeguarded for future generations.
