Schedule of Events
11 am – Meet the Marionettes
Get to know Baumann’s marionettes—faithfully replicated from the originals—through the stories and demonstrations of performers who have worked with them for years. Learn about the history of puppetry, the artistry of performance, and watch the puppeteers in action.
1 pm – Introducing San Isidro
Celebrate the debut of San Isidro, the newest replica to join our marionette cast! The original marionette is on view in the exhibition’s New Wing. Hear from Sabrina Griffith, the talented marionette maker who created this remarkable new addition.
2:30 & 3:30 pm – Juan y Burro
Experience two performances of Baumann’s original short play Juan y Burro, featuring the brand-new San Isidro marionette. A perfect way to honor the final opening of this landmark exhibition.
