A Talk with Artist Leo Villareal: Past Works and Inspirations for Astral Array

To kick off opening week of the Vladem Contemporary, we invite you to a lecture by artist Leo Villareal. Villareal will discuss his artwork, focusing on Astral Array, created specifically for the Vladem Contemporary. Villareal’s installation implies a connection to the myriad stars visible in the night sky, while also referring to a hidden spiritual realm. Astral Array encourages viewers to find order in random phenomena and to consider how human beings make sense of the natural world.
